Copper Nickel Fasteners are available in two variations viz 70-30 (C70600) and 90-10( C71500 ) .C70600 Copper nickel is stronger as of the two with a yield strength of 150 Mpa in annealed condition as compared to 120 Mpa of C75100 Copper Nickel. Especially in case of cupro nickel 70-30 bolts as compared to copper nickel 70-10 bolts where tensile is the deciding factor due to high level of corrosion in marine applications.

CuproNickel 70-30 is a well-known alloy as compared to cupro nickel 90-10, with higher additions of nickel as compared to the lower alloy.

Four Properties of Copper Nickel Fasteners / Cupro Nickel Fasteners

Copper Nickel fasteners / Cupro Nickel Fasteners use Copper Nickel as raw materials. Copper Nickel fasteners has four properties.

1. High temperature resistance. For high hardness, the fasteners has strong oxidation resistance. It cannot work under high temperature and cannot be interfered by high temperature. If the fasteners is passivated after being made out, the temperature resistance will be better.

2. Physical properties. Copper Nickel fasteners has higher specific resistance. The specific resistance of Copper Nickel is higher than that of carbon steel by five times. Standard parts have an expansion factor. Through experiment, if the temperature is higher, the expansion factor of Copper Nickel fasteners will be improved definitely.

3. Stress capacity. Copper Nickel fasteners can endure moderate stress. Although it cannot be compared favorably with high strength bolt, the fasteners can still meet the common requirements.

4. Mechanical properties. High rust resistance and corrosion resistance have close relationship with the features of Copper Nickel. For standard parts developing constantly, mechanical properties of Copper Nickel fasteners will be enhanced further.
